COME AND SING

Vivaldi’s Gloria and Fauré’s Requiem Day

Afternoon Session: St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny

Following the great success of the Come & Sing Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem days in Abergavenny in the last two years, there have been many requests for another day of great singing. I am therefore delighted to be able to invite you to a similar Come & Sing Vivaldi’s Gloria and Fauré’s Requiem day on Saturday, 17^th February 2018, which will be run by the Crickhowell Choral Society.

As before, I am indebted to a brilliant team of orchestral players, who have volunteered their services, and the talented young choral scholars who will take on the solos. It promises to be another memorable occasion for us all. The day will cost £20.

The number of choristers will be capped at 150 – we had a waiting list last year – so do book your place early.

I do hope you will be able to join us and look forward to hearing you on the day!

Timetable

Morning Session	Methodist Church, Castle Street, Abergavenny
9:15am	Registration
9:40 – 11:15am	Choir workshop (please bring your own music copy if possible, although copies will be provided if requested)
11:14 – 11:40am	Coffee break
11:40am -1:00pm	Choir workshop
1:00pm	Lunch break. Tea & coffee available at the Methodist Church Hall, where you are welcome to stay and eat any food you have brought with you. There are, of course, plenty of possibilities for something more substantial in town.
Afternoon Session	St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny
1:45-4:30pm	Full rehearsal
7:30-8:30pm	Concert performance. Please encourage people to come and listen! Audience tickets at £10 will be available in due course from Webbs of Crickhowell, choir members and on the door.
